    Since being introduced to FriendFeed, by some jerk. I've noticed a lot of what you are talking about. The Fire Hose simile perfectly describes the way the data flows on these agrogators. The sheer velocity creates the impossible situation of actually trying to establish a network, in the social sense, or heck even a dialog on a topic. Some smart person will make billions from solving this problem.
