So, I'm looking at getting a "netbook." I was looking seriously at the EEE 1000 series. I had the 700 series and the keyboard was just way too cramped. What are your thoughts on the 900 series?

If you found the 700 cramped, you'll probably find the 901 cramped as well. I can't exactly type at full speed on it, and while I think I'll get faster, I doubt I'll ever be as fast as on a full size or as on my Portege. The 1000, however, is suitably larger (my sister got one for school). If you plan on just going with windows the 1000H (H = hard drive, instead of the solid state) is a good deal, especially since they just recently lowered the price again in anticipation of further additions to the line. I suggest Amazon for purchase as well, save yourself on tax and S+H.
